Infant and Caregiver
For babies zero to one
Dr. Maria Montessori observed that the infant is building their sense of identity through movement, sensory exploration, and secure relationships.
Foundation of Trust, Attachment and Independence
The Montessori Infant programme supports the child’s earliest work of adapting to life and forming a sense of self. It also supports parents and caregivers in applying Montessori principles in the home from the beginning of an infant’s life. In a calm, prepared environment with the support of a trained guide and a trusted caregiver, infants develop trust, movement, coordination, and independence through respectful caregiving, uninterrupted activity, and meaningful relationships. This foundational stage lays the groundwork for confidence, autonomy, and lifelong learning.
