Lidia Olivieri
Principal
Born in Italy and raised in the South-East of France, Lidia has studied Psychology at the Université de Lettres et Sciences Humaines de Nice. She received her AMI 3–6 Diploma in 2002 from the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori in Paris and has recently completed the AMI Montessori School Leadership Certificate Course.
Lidia began her Montessori career teaching in France for several years before joining Montessori School Bali.
As Principal, she brings over two decades of Montessori experience and a deep commitment to authentic Montessori education. She began her journey as a 3–6 Guide, developing a profound understanding of children’s developmental needs and the importance of a carefully prepared environment. Over the years, she has served as Preschool Coordinator and Vice Principal, providing continuity, vision, and thoughtful leadership across the school’s Montessori programs.
Guided by the Montessori philosophy that children thrive through independence, purposeful work, and a nurturing environment, Lidia leads with warmth, reflection, and intention. Her appreciation for beauty, creativity, and attention to detail enriches the school’s learning environments and contributes to a culture of excellence.
Fluent in English, French, Italian, and Bahasa Indonesia, Lidia values meaningful communication and the richness of working within an international community.

Lidia Olivieri
Teaching Vice Principal (Preschool)
Born in Italy and raised in the South-East of France, Lidia Olivieri has a degree in Social Psychology from the Université de Lettres et Sciences Humaines de Nice. She received her three-to-six AMI diploma in 2002 from the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori in Paris where she taught for a few years, before joining Montessori School Bali. She is our Vice Principal, our Preschool Coordinator, as well as one of our Preschool Lead Teachers. Her passion and enthusiasm for guiding her students is contagious and her creativity and love of beauty bring innovative extensions to her teaching practice every year.
