Dhian is the Indonesian teacher of the Adolescent Programme and obtained her bachelor degree in English Literature and master degree in Linguistics from Udayana University. Dhian has been working at Montessori School Bali since 2012. Dhian believes the Montessori philosophy has changed her perspective of education and the child’s development. It has influenced her professional life as a teacher, and her personal life as a mother of 3 children.
Winda
Teacher Assistant S.Pd., M.Pd. (Melati class)
Winda is the Indonesian Teacher of the Upper Primary Programme in Montessori School Bali. She achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Mahasaraswati University in 2018 in addition to a Master’s Degree in English Education from Ganesha University of Education in 2020. Winda has been teaching since 2017. During her time as a teacher she has acquired significant experience that enables her to support the upper primary students, nurturing their desire to learn and grow.
Dina
Indonesian teacher (Melati Class)
Dina, is the teacher assistant in the Melati Classroom and Bahasa Indonesia teacher. She has been passionate about being a teacher since she was a child. Dina graduated from Mahasaraswati University with Bachelor’s degree of education and enjoys helping students to learn and grow.
Lina
Teacher assistant, Indonesian teacher, PPKn (Indonesia Study) teacher (Frangipani Class)
After earning her Bachelor Degree in English Education from Undiksha University, Singaraja, Bali (Ganesha University of Education) in 2008, Lina entered the education world to explore her passion for teaching and learning. Lina taught English and Indonesian in a variety of schools in Bali at various levels (ranging from preschool to senior high school) for several years before she joined Montessori School Bali as a teachers assistant in 2014. Lina completed her Montessori teacher training (diploma) in North American Montessori Center (NAMC) during 2015 and 2016. She also teaches Indonesian and PPkn (Indonesia Study) in the Frangipani class (Lower primary class of Montessori School Bali). She believes that every child is unique, special, and has his or her own strengths and weaknesses. Lina is committed to helping children to grow and become the best version of themselves in a healthy environment filled with kindness and encouragement.

Wina is a Preschool Teachers Assistant
and has been working with children at Montessori School Bali since 2004. She is exceptionally passionate about assisting young children to develop their skills, providing a firm foundation for their future education. She is a proud Montessori Teachers Assistant who is proud that the Montessori approach gives the students the freedom to explore, build their independence and confidence.
Novita
Teacher Assistant (Preschool)
Novita has a Bachelor Degree in English Education from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. She has been working as a Preschool Assistant Teacher at Montessori School Bali since 2016. Novita is passionate about the Montessori philosophy because of the hands-on independent learning of the child and the development their independence, offering freedom within limits and the respect for the child.
Sukma
Teacher Assistant (Preschool)
Sukma is a Preschool Teachers Assistant, and has been working at Montessori School Bali since 2018. Sukma acquired her English Education Bachelors Degree from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. She has a great passion for supporting and nurturing the development of our younger students.
Katherine Shearer
Adolescent Programme Lead Teacher (Lotus Class )
Katherine believes that by having high expectations and respecting abilities, learning styles, personalities and identities all students can experience success academically, socially and emotionally. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts with a major in international development in Canada, and then completed a minor in anthropology in South Africa. After a career in aviation and finance, Katherine moved to Australia to obtain a graduate diploma in teaching. She played a pivotal role in setting up a successful adolescent programme in Perth, Western Australia, and then moved to Bali, Indonesia to establish Montessori School Bali’s adolescent programme in 2018. Katherine also holds a private pilot’s license.
Susan Pierce-Watson
Upper Primary Lead Teacher (Melati Class)
Susan began as a Montessori guide after discovering Montessori Education through her work as a children’s drama instructor. She has been committed to her work in Montessori now for 15 years and has guided children from preschool through to upper primary. Susan continues to find inspiration and joy in supporting children of all ages in their emotional, social, spiritual and academic development. She says ‘It is wonderful to observe our students learn through the discovery and development of their interests and how they may use those interests to contribute to the betterment and greater understanding of our world.’
Gina Mowbray
Lower Primary Lead Teacher (Frangipani Class)
Gina is from Newcastle, Australia. With an AMI 6-12 qualification and a Bachelor of Education she has been working in Montessori schools since 2001. Gina is committed to her work and always strives to provide the very best environment and experiences possible for the children. She believes that working alongside children is a privilege. Each child’s journey is different and Gina believes that guiding them to make discoveries, follow their individual interests, contribute to the community and be a lifelong learner is very important.
Lidia Olivieri
Preschool Lead Teacher (Garden Class)
Born in Italy and raised in the South-East of France, Lidia Olivieri has a degree in Social Psychology from the Université de Lettres et Sciences Humaines de Nice. She received her three-to-six AMI diploma in 2002 from the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori in Paris where she taught for a few years, before joining Montessori School Bali, fifteen years ago. She is one of our Preschool Lead Teachers and our Preschool Coordinator. Her passion and enthusiasm for guiding her students is contagious and her creativity and love of beauty bring innovative extensions to her teaching practice every year.
Nattalia Sinclaire and Kadek Wiranatha
Founders of Montessori School Bali
Montessori School Bali was the very first Montessori school established in Bali and founded in 1998 by Nattalia Sinclaire and her husband, Kadek Wiranatha.
Nattalia, having grown up in Ireland surrounded by the Montessori approach, was inspired to seek Montessori training, which she participated in and completed in London and Dublin in 1984 for Preschool and Primary aged children. She then went on to teach internationally in the field of Montessori education in England, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and Indonesia. Being so convinced and inspired by her work in the Montessori field, she was eager to bring the possibility of a Montessori education to Bali and hence had the great pleasure in establishing and opening, with Kadek, Montessori School Bali in May 1998.
Kadek is a long-standing, established, and experienced Balinese businessman, operating predominantly in the hospitality, fashion, and beverage industries in Bali for over 35 years.
